Tour details
Komsomolets Peak (4,204 m) is the most popular summit in Kyrgyzstan and the go-to first high-altitude climb for those wanting a genuine mountain experience.
Located in Ala-Archa National Park, 40 km from Bishkek, it has been the site of annual mass ascents since 1938 — a tradition that continues to this day.
The 1B-grade route starts from the alpine camp (2,200 m) and gains 2,000 m of elevation over 8.5 km. Along the way, the views open up to the Ak-Sai and Uchitel glaciers and the peaks of Korona, Free Korea, Box and Uchitel. In clear weather, Bishkek is visible from the summit. The full round trip covers around 15–16 km and typically takes 12–14 hours.
No prior mountaineering experience is required — the route is technically accessible for physically fit participants. Professional guides lead the group from start to summit and back. Every participant who reaches the top receives a named summit certificate.
⚠️ Please note: departure is at 3:00 AM. Minimum 3 litres of water per person; trekking poles are strongly recommended.
